Life is good at the Launaguet judo club. The club has a series of sporting competitions and convivial moments. It was a busy weekend for the young members of the local association. Friday, they experienced an important moment in their sporting journey: the passage of grade at the club. This moment was followed by the drawing of the association’s raffle and a friendly sharing with the galette des rois.
On Saturday, the competitors went to compete in the Minimes West Zone in Foix. In the -55 kg category, Charlie finished 2nd. He continued his good momentum. He qualified for regional competitions. In -36 kg, Yseult lost his 2 group fights. She exerted herself without measure, always with good commitment, but she lacked efficiency and finish in her techniques. She did not qualify for the regional phase. In the -40 kg category, Maryam lost her 3 group fights but she is still qualified for the regional phase.
Sunday January 28, some athletes went to compete in the Cadets West Zone which took place in Toulouse. In the -52 kg class, Solyne won and scored 27 points for 2nd Dan.
In the -57 kg category, Angela also won and scored 10 points for her 2nd Dan. The 2 girls qualified for the 1st division regions as well as Talyana who is already qualified for the French championships thanks to her ranking on the national ranking list (1st). In the -60 kg category, Adam and Mathieu (-66 kg) as often followed the same path: they won the first fight but lost in the 1/8 finals. They were later drafted but failed again. Adam scored 10 points and Mathieu 7 points. For them, the goal now is the black belt.
During the Super Excellence Cadets Tournament in Dijon, Talyana confirmed her good performances, even if she unfortunately lost in the 1/2 final against a Swiss team. A new error on the ground did not allow him to express himself in the final. She finished 3rd.
