Death for a simple horn. The town of Saint-Thurial, near Rennes, is in shock after the death of a 30-year-old man, who was preparing to become a father for the second time, killed with a baseball bat.
Saturday February 24 in the evening, Anthony parks at a place called Simon, in front of the land of two brothers aged 50 and 37, suspected of the murder. The latter live isolated in a caravan. A trivial altercation had already broken out between the three men, fifteen days ago. The two brothers can’t stand people parking near their land. While wanting to leave, Anthony honks his horn, probably to take revenge for the said altercation. A fight then breaks out between the three men. One of the two brothers beats the victim to death with a baseball bat.
“It’s a tragedy. We all want to support our partner who must give birth to a second child. That a 30-year-old dies under the blows of a baseball bat for a trifle, for nothing at all, it’s incomprehensible”, reacted Isabelle Goven, mayor of Saint-Péran, who knew the victim, the latter having lived in the town.
The two brothers, already convicted of violence, were indicted for murder with violence with a weapon and in an assembly. They face 30 years of criminal imprisonment. A white walkorganized by Anthony’s family, is scheduled for Saturday March 2 in Saint-Thurial.
