Paris 2024 Olympic Games: 10 channels and up to 62 simultaneous streams, Eurosport ready to broadcast all the events

The Olympic Games are almost six months away, but for the majority of those involved in this incredible event, it is already tomorrow. This Tuesday, 170 days before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, one of the official broadcasters, Eurosport, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, disclosed its device during the competition.

In total, more than 3,800 hours of live broadcasting are planned, as well as three daily broadcasts. Géraldine Pons, the sports director of Eurosport, was clear, the objective is to “make Eurosport the preferred destination during the Games”.

Subscribers will be able to follow all of the events on all platforms. Thus, ten channels will be accessible. On Eurosport 1, all the international stars and historic disciplines of the Olympic Games will be followed, while Eurosport 2 will give pride of place to French athletes.

Seven other “event” channels will be created: Eurosport 3 for racket sports and golf, Eurosport 4 for artistic sports, Eurosport 5 for football, Eurosport 6 for basketball, Eurosport 7 for combat sports, Eurosport 8 for handball and Eurosport 9 for volleyball. Finally, a tenth channel, in 4K, will allow you to watch the greatest moments in the best possible definition.

The rest of the events will be accessible on Eurosport.fr and on the Eurosport app. At the peak of the Olympic Games, 62 simultaneous streams will be offered to sports fans.

Three daily broadcasts are also planned. From 7 a.m., “Mon Paris Olympique – Matin” and its presenter, Lesly Boitrelle, will launch the day, before “Mon Paris Olympique – Direct” takes over and “Mon Paris Olympique – Le Mag” closes the day. daytime.

Around sixty experts were recruited for the occasion, in order to better analyze the performances of the different athletes. Among them, some headliners like the bronze medalist from Athens Christine Arron, the double Olympic champion Alain Bernard, the former French international Frédéric Weis or the former national technical director of the French Tennis Federation, Jean-Paul Loth, who will experience his last competition as a consultant.

Olympic artistic gymnastics champions Émilie Le Pennec and judo champions Lucie Décosse will also be present. Other surprises should still be revealed.
