Ostapenko Falls in Dubai Tournament, Semenistaja Slips in WTA Rankings

Last week, Ostapenko competed in the Dubai “WTA 1000” tournament, where she failed in the round of 16.

The Czech Marketa Vondrousova has moved up to the seventh place, the Chinese Jen Qinwen has moved up to the eighth position, the Greek Maria Sakari has climbed two places to the ninth position, while Ostapenko completes the top ten.

In the doubles ranking, Ostapenko has lost three places and is in 23rd place, while Semenistaja has fallen four places and is in 161st place, Wismane is four places higher (169th), Marcinkeviča has regained one position (224th), Barton is four places higher (504th), Ignatieva is five positions lower (712th), Ozerova has moved up one place (1115th), while Kargina (1427th) and Marija Semenistaya (1523rd) are seven and eight positions lower, respectively.

The doubles leader is Elise Mertens of Belgium, followed by Taiwan’s Suwei Xie and Australia’s Storm Hunter.
