Wiesberger in Japan ranked 24th, Schwab 42nd.

Bernd Wiesberger finished the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan, worth 2.25 million dollars (2.1 million euros), in 24th place. The Burgenlander played a round of 68 on Sunday and improved by six places with a total score of 272 strokes (8 under par). His compatriot Matthias Schwab managed a 67 at the end, which meant that the Styrian gained 14 places and landed in 42nd position in the final ranking with 275 strokes.

While Wiesberger collected prize money of almost 21,000 euros, Schwab was able to take home 10,900 euros. Local hero Yuto Katsuragawa took the dominant victory (263/17 under par). The third Austrian at the tournament at the Taiheiyo Club in Gotemba, Lukas Nemecz, missed the cut. Next up for the ÖGV trio is the China Open in Shenzhen on Thursday.
