“Match subject to change” between Deinze and Patro ends in a bloodless 0-0

Before kick-off, all the spotlights were on referee Simon Bourdeaud’hui. At Patro Eisden they found it incomprehensible that he had been appointed, because he lives a stone’s throw from Deinze.

Patro hoped that the Referee Department would appoint another ref, but that fell on deaf ears. It then decided to play the match “subject to conditions”.

So a lot of drumming before the match, but a lot less between the lines. Bourdead’hui did not have to make difficult decisions, although Patro did claim a penalty twice. The goalkeepers were in charge, so the initial score also became the final score.
