Football Australia and the Victorian Government have today announced a limited number of additional tickets will be released for the CommBank Matildas AFC Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers Round 3 (Asian Qualifiers) home match against Uzbekistan.
Wednesday, 28 February 2024 will see Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium (8.00pm AEDT) play host to the final fixture in Australia’s quest for a third straight qualification for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.
The final limited ticket release is welcome news for CommBank Matildas’ supporters after the opening phase saw the initial allocated 45,000 tickets exhausted within 48 hours. Upon Football Australia’s final review of all inventory, a limited additional public allocation has become available and will go on sale at 12.00pm AEDT on Tuesday, 6 February 2024.
James Johnson, Football Australia CEO, said: “We are always committed to providing football fans with as much opportunity to be able to support the team live, and so we are delighted CommBank Matildas fans are able to secure these final tickets with less than three weeks until kick-off.”
“This is another great chance to experience the unique atmosphere of a CommBank Matildas match and hopefully drive the team towards a historic qualification for Paris,” he concluded.
Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said: “Fans have jumped at the chance to see the Matildas play in the nation’s sporting and major events capital and we look forward to welcoming more visitors from around the country for this exciting match.”
The latest release of tickets for the Asian Qualifiers will be available from ticketmaster.com.au and will include some Obstructed View Seats.
