Alissa Kuchynka reaches out and smashes the small yellow tennis ball back over the net with her racket. Back and forth. Back and forth. Effortless. And yet so powerful. A quick glance is enough to see that there are many years of training behind it. The 14-year-old enters the grounds of the TC Rot-Weiß in Altenmarkt every day and spends countless hours honing her tennis game. But her iron will doesn’t come from anywhere: her dad and coach Radovan Kuchynka, “Radek”, is a tennis player through and through – and has passed on his discipline and passion for the sport to his daughter.
