Domingo’s Wildcard Battle: Play Tennis on the Suzanne-Lenglen Court at Roland-Garros

An event organized by streamer Domingo will allow eight people to play tennis games on the Suzanne-Lenglen court at Roland-Garros on June 6.

“Come make your dream come true on the Suzanne-Lenglen court”. This is the promise of the “Wildcard Battle” event unveiled Thursday May 2 by streamer Pierre-Alexis “Domingo” Bizot, which will allow strangers to play tennis matches on June 6 on the second largest court from the Roland-Garros grounds in Paris. Four teams of two participants (a man and a woman) will compete.

Domingo, host of the show Popcorn on Twitch, will be captain of one of these teams, as will his counterpart Rayenne “Etoiles” Guendil, dancer Inès Vandamme, member of Dancing with the Stars, and professional tennis player Jules Marie , who has 119,000 subscribers on YouTube and appears in 213th place in the ATP world rankings. Streamer Arif “Doigby” Akin will be at the presentation.

Registrations, free, are already open. “There is no point lying about your level of tennis, selections will not be made solely on the basis of the latter. We will seek above all to constitute balanced teams,” specifies the application form.

During the Grand Slam tournament

The show, organized with the media We Love Tennis and the company Webedia, will be open to the public. Tickets are on sale on the official Roland-Garros ticket office website.

The event will be held right during the Roland-Garros tournament, the main draw of which is scheduled from May 26 to June 9. On the 6th, the Suzanne-Lenglen court will notably host the men’s doubles semi-finals before being the scene of the Domingo tournament.

In 2021, Domingo had already organized an event at Roland Garros. He himself had taken the racket in matches with Benoît Paire, Gaël Monfils and Adrien “Zerator” Nougaret, flagship streamer of the Twitch scene and organizer of the charity event Z Event.
