Sakina Karchaoui extends until 2028 at PSG

French international Sakina Karchaoui, 28, has extended her contract by four years until 2028 at Paris Saint-Germain where she has been playing since 2021, the Parisian club announced on Thursday.

At the end of her contract in June and in contact with other European clubs, the former Lyonnaise (2020-2021) also passed through Montpellier (2012-2021) chose to stay at PSG, eliminated on Sunday in the semi-final of the Ligue des champions by OL. “It’s a big day for me, I really wanted to continue my career at Paris Saint-Germain. I am fully fulfilled within this team and I am proud of what we have achieved so far”reacted, in a press release from the club, the left side, “convinced that we will promote the Rouge et Bleu jersey but also women’s football, nationally and internationally, in the years to come”.

With PSG, she already has nearly 100 matches (94) and six goals and has had 72 caps for the France team, with which she scored her first goal in March against Germany in the semi-final of the Nations League. The extension of this team framework is good news for the capital club, where several other important players are at the end of their contract and in negotiations: goalkeeper Constance Picaud, Elisa de Almeida, Oriane Jean-François and Sandy Baltimore .

Defender Jade Le Guilly, also at the end of her contract, has already extended until 2027.
