With 112 entrants from all over Brittany, the fifth Catherine-Hamet Plerin Badminton tournament broke a participation record this Sunday, February 18. Namely well above the 80 players for 2022 and 2023.
“We are organizing it as a tribute to our former president, to the fight she led against illness and to her desire to open tournaments to small rankings. While the benefits of the refreshment bar have not been established anda prize pool remains open onlineso we already know that we will be able to donate more than €1,000 to the League Against Cancer,” rejoices President Nicolas Villetelle.
Which, despite a good participation of its licensees, did not see their names included in the final prize list. In series 1, the winners are: Antoine Réminiac (Saint-Méen) and Margot Miglierina (Trégueux), in singles; Théo Boutière-Romuald Le Clec’h (Trégueux) and Anne-Lise Le Héran-Lucie Pitaud (Côte d’Or), in doubles. In series 2: Antoine Noël (Rostrenen) and Marie Pottier (Saint-Servan), in singles.
