First he placed himself in the middle of the tracks and then ran at the head of a train locomotive with the aim of entering the cockpit. It is not known what exactly was going through the mind of a twenty-five year old traveling from Rome, perhaps he wanted to take command of that convoy, but certainly the other afternoon he triggered panic at the central station of Guidonia Montecelio, so much so that it was necessary to suppress the race and alert a police station in Tivoli. It happened shortly after 3pm in the airport in the central Piazza Baracca.

The SOS that reached the emergency numbers of the police reported a boy in a rage who had effectively “paralyzed” the station: he was particularly agitated, he was going back and forth from the passenger bench and it seems that he had tried to attack a passer-by, until he even got it into his head to try driving a train himself. It wasn’t easy to stop him for the officers who intervened on the scene: during the struggle necessary to stop him they both suffered injuries that could heal in five days. The 25-year-old was put in handcuffs. At the order of the prosecutor on duty he was placed under house arrest in Rome, awaiting immediate trial. He must answer for resisting and injuring a public official but also for interrupting a public service.

It is not the only difficult situation that the police officers of the Tivoli police station, directed by Paola Pentassuglia, had to manage in the same hours. Also in Guidonia Montecelio, together with their colleagues from San Basilio, arrested a 31-year-old man for evasion who was caught walking around the city despite being subjected to house detention to serve a sentence for crimes against his person and property. Among other things, he was driving a car without a license because he had never obtained it. When the checks started he was agitated and uncooperative. After the validation hearing he returned to house arrest. On February 17, however, the doors of the Rebibbia prison opened for a thirty-six-year-old who in June 2022 had carried out a robbery together with an accomplice in a Bengali minimarket in Villalba. For the woman, framed by the investigations of the Tivoli police, the final sentence and the related prison order have arrived: she will have to serve three years in prison. It was the marks of the blows of a baseball bat, which fell on the fleeing car, together with the testimonies of passers-by that closed the circle around her and her boyfriend, protagonists of a highly violent attack: armed with a knife and a glass bottle threatened the young shopkeeper to get the proceeds, around 300 euros. A raid that took place in broad daylight. The two had entered as normal customers and had wandered around the store waiting for the moment to take action. Then he pulled out the knife and she grabbed a bottle of beer from the shelves to have the contents of the chest handed over to her. They took the money but the young businesswoman did not give up: with a baseball bat she broke the glass of the car in which the two robbers were fleeing, also attracting the attention of passers-by who thus took some license plate numbers. Useful clues for investigators: the damage detected during the investigation to the car and the correspondence of the testimonies are decisive. Also on 17 February, the Tivoli police station carried out another sentence enforcement order for a thirty-nine-year-old Romanian woman for crimes committed in her country of origin in 2016: one year of imprisonment to be served under house arrest following the final conviction for resisting public officer and injuries. A European arrest warrant was issued against the woman, who also has precedents in Italy, in 2020 following a ruling by the Craiova court.
