Sinaloa Coaches Attend National Training Day at International Olympic Center in Mexico City

This Thursday, together with a group of Sinaloa coaches, sensei José Manuel Núñez and the sempais, Julio César Rojas and Héctor Javier Cabanillas, left for the International Olympic Center in Mexico City, to be part of the training day for coaches national.

The Mazatlans will attend the training meeting aimed at coaches from the different judo associations, with the support of the Sinaloense Sports Institute, with the aim of updating themselves on the regulations, as well as the technical and tactical aspects of the martial discipline.

“It is always important to invest in education, in training. Lilian Estrada Bautista, the president of the Judo Association, opened the doors to new generations because it is important to renew, to have new points of view, so that the movement is enriched and advances,” said Núñez Gutiérrez.

“Becoming professional is important, here you will be given all the tools to grow. We have to be aware that training is part of the growth of each coach and athlete, for the benefit of the state.”

Both Julio César Rojas Pineda and Héctor Javier Cabanillas Castillo, who obtained good results as assistants to José Manuel Núñez, in the last state stage of the Conade Games, will have their first training meeting outside of Mazatlán.

“This time there are two new coaches, 18 and 21 years old, they are going to be black belts in March and they have already participated in events, both national and state, and have taken first places. These four days that we will be at the IOC will be interesting,” he shared.

In addition to the coaching course, the Sinaloan judokas will hold a concentration with the most outstanding athletes at the national level, which will take place in sessions of four and two hours a day, thereby contributing to the development of the sport in the state.

“It is the first time that they are going to meet the elite of national judo. They already have a whole process, from student to coach, fulfilling a specific job. Now it’s not just me, so we agreed that they have to train, it’s part of the growth of every human being and the more you do, the more motivated you become,” he expressed.

During the last state stage of the Conade Games, Mazatlan judo had the participation of 27 athletes, of which 15 made it to the Macro Regional stage, achieving 25 medals in total.
