Atlético de Madrid Secures Dominant 5-0 Victory over Las Palmas in La Liga

Atlético de Madrid largely dominated Las Palmas (5-0) during the 25th day of La Liga on Saturday afternoon. A success which temporarily places the Madrilenians in third place in the general ranking, tied on points with Barça, 4th (51).

In the first period, Marcos Llorente scored twice in the space of five minutes to allow Atlético to have the match well in hand (15th, 1-0; 20th, 2-0).

Similar story in the second half but this time it was Angel Correa who scored two more goals for his team (47th, 3-0; 62nd, 4-0) and thus sealed the fate of the match.

Just after this fourth goal, Axel Witsel entered the game in place of Nahuel Molina (64th) while Arthur Vermeeren experienced his first minutes of play since January 31 by replacing Pablo Barrios (71st).
