“We’ve had several successful duels behind us now. So even in Brno before the last part, we believed that we could return to the match. It worked out,” said the 28-year-old Lintuniemi.

Lintuniemi admitted that it may have come off as a bit cocky. “But when I decided the match, I felt really good. And against the former team, of course, such a goal tastes doubly good,” he explained.
He could have scored even in the middle twenty minutes, but Michigan’s trick of picking up the puck on his hockey stick did not lead to a goal. “I train it sometimes and I’ve been trying it in matches for four or five years now. It’s a nice way to score a goal. But as a back, I’m not behind the opponent’s goal that often,” Lintuniemi realizes.

After the win in Brno, Boleslav moved away from last place Kladno by twelve points in the table.
