Rick Macci, a name known for having notably trained the Williams sisters, but also other big names like Maria Sharapova or Andy Roddick, has obviously accumulated a whole bunch of juicy anecdotes during his career.
He revealed a pretty incredible one this February 5 on his X account, explaining that in training, Serena had never beaten her sister!
“Venus has never lost to Serena in training. From 1991 to 1995, their father even refused to let them play together! He said they would be played 30 times later on the circuit. He was wrong. They faced each other 31 times. And Serena leads 19 to 12! »
