Bayern’s mediocre start to the year got on Thomas Tuchel’s (50) nerves. The coach despairs of why his team doesn’t implement his instructions from training in the game. “I don’t feel like saying that we’re training well anymore – because no one believes you anymore,” said Tuchel, frustrated.

Minute 6: At the whistle for the supposed penalty, Tuchel storms towards the fourth official. Gestures at him, points with his bent right elbow and explains: “He pushed him with his arm!” The penalty is transferred to a free kick in the box, Tuchel calms down.

Minute 31: Davies plays a pass forward from the defense center. Tuchel angry at the bench: “I still say: play to Manuel Neuer…”
Minute 35: Bad pass Sané. Tuchel exasperated: “Leroy is losing him again!”
Minute 36: Tuchel brings Davies to his side, holds his left hand in front of his mouth for his instructions, and shows Davies the way forward with his right hand. The player nods.
Minute 39: Tuchel jumps up from the bench screaming and shouts onto the field: “Heeeeeey!” The coach waves his arms over his head, gesticulating wildly.

Minute 52: Tuchel can’t stand the 1:2 by Demirovic sitting down for long. The coach shoves both fists into his jacket pocket and stalks down the sideline, shaking his head.
Minute 54: Tel shoots over the goal with a chance. Tuchel rages on the sidelines, swearing at the bench: “Fuck my ass, Mathys!”
Minute 58: Alleged offside goal by Kane. Tuchel makes notes on a piece of paper, brings Guerrero to the touchline and shows him the new instructions.
Minute 59: Pavlovic rushes to Tuchel and calls out “Coach!” Tuchel explains to the talent which spaces he should close.
Minute 60: The VAR has switched on. Decision: goal by Kane to make it 3-1. That makes Tuchel smile. He then treats himself to a sip of water.
Minute 65: Augsburg puts pressure on. Tuchel judges his Bayern performance: “Too passive, too passive.”
Minute 67: Beljo heads into the arms of Neuer. Tuchel closes both eyes and takes a breath.
Minute 78: Tel has time and can finish in the penalty area. Instead, he dribbles. Tuchel exasperated: “What is that supposed to be? What’s that supposed to be?” With his arms he indicates a dribble and comments: “So, like that, like that.”

Minute 88: VAR decides on a penalty for Augsburg. Goalkeeping coach calculator shows that Sven Michel will shoot from the right. Whatever he does. Neuer holds. Tuchel acknowledges it without moving with his arms supported on his sides.
Minute 90: Tuchel asks the bank: “Theoretically, do we still have a change?”
Minute 90: Another penalty whistle for Augsburg. Tuchel turns his back on his team and walks to the opposing corner flag while the score is 2-3.

Minute 93: Tuchel freaks out, runs towards FCA sports director Jurendic and chases after him. “Hey, we have an injured player here. Are you crazy or what? Sit on your bench! What’s wrong with you, hey!” Two carers have to hold him back. Jurendic had complained to the referee about time play because Pavlovic was sitting on the ground injured. A fan behind the Bayern bench shouts at the Bayern coach: “Tuchel sit down, you jumping jack!”
Final whistle!
Now Tuchel can smile again. He high-fives the entire team of players and support staff on the bench…
