The Vuelta Femenina 24 by Carrefour.es started this Sunday with a team time trial that Lidl-Trek scored with an exhibition and despite suffering a fall in the last corner, to put the Italian Gaia Realini as leader of the general classification.
The first stage took place in Valencia, with 16 kilometers of time trial, and Lidl-Trek won despite a spectacular fall a few meters from the finish line, beating Team Visma-Lease a Bike, winners last season in Torrevieja, by nine hundredths. and for a second to Team SD Worx-ProTime of Demi Vollering, one of the favorites.
The attractive start in the City of Arts and Sciences of the capital of Turia and the finish in front of the Oceanogràfic, with the coastal road of the Albufera Natural Park taking center stage, left very close results.
The American team EF Education-Cannondale marked the first important reference at the finish line, with a time of 19:29 that some powerful teams such as the Liv-AlUla-Jayco of the Spanish champion Mavi García could not beat.

The Women’s Vuelta will continue this Monday with its first online stage, a day of 118.3 kilometers through the Valencian interior between Bunyol and Moncofa, passing through the Puerto de l’Oronet (3rd category) that should favor a sprint finish .
