According to CNN’s tally, Swift appeared on CBS’s airing of the Chiefs-Bills AFC Divisional playoff game a total of six times. This includes one instance during pregame coverage. This is a decrease from the reported 17 times she was shown during NBC’s broadcast of an October game where she was in attendance to watch the Chiefs play against the New York Jets.
For this particular season, at the very least.
Even though there was a significant reduction in airtime for the AFC Divisional playoff game on Sunday, Tiki Barber, a former running back for the New York Giants, was still critical of CBS’s coverage of Swift.
“There will definitely be discussions at a high level about how that’s going to be handled. If indeed it happens, they’ll figure out what seems to be a reasonable amount of shots,” Jeff Fellenzer, Professor of Professional Practice Sports, Business and Media at USC, told CNN.

As Swift continued to attend more games and publicly revealed her relationship with Kelce, some football viewers and well-known sports figures started voicing their dissatisfaction with the frequent appearances of Swift in the stands – even Kelce himself.The couple had not yet confirmed their relationship at that time.
At the time of publication, CBS had not responded to CNN’s request for an interview about their plans and strategy for Sunday’s game or the Super Bowl.
“I find it enjoyable when they reveal the attendees of the game,” Kelce stated in an October episode of his podcast “New Heights,” but he also mentioned, “they’re exaggerating it a bit too much, definitely.”
