The Return of the National Historic Archery Championship to Cisterna: Archers in Costume from Five Regions Compete

The national historic archery championship returns to Cisterna on Sunday: 18 competition pitches, archers in costume from Lazio, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Campania

Next Sunday, starting at 9 am, the historic center of Cisterna will once again be populated with archers in medieval costume to compete in the stage of the Italian Historical Archery Championship. The competition is organized by the Tres Tabernae Heraldry Association and ONMIC, with the patronage of the Municipality of Cisterna di Latina, the LIAS (Italian League of Historical Archers) and the ASI (Italian Sports and Social Associations) as well as the Presidency of the Council of Ministers , of the Lazio Region and of the Province of Latina.

After last year’s success, the archers will come from the regions of Lazio, Tuscany, Campania, with a representation from the Marche and Umbria regions also present, in a reduced form due to the well-known flood. The event will involve the historic center of Cisterna starting from Piazza XIX March, the parking area in front of the town hall, the perimeter of Palazzo Caetani, with the presence of 18 competition pitches, with fixed or mobile targets, for the dispute of competitions in the various types of arch: traditional, historical, foggia historical.
