Tamaulipas Prepares for CONADE 2024 National Games Qualification

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- After a meeting held recently in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, the Macro Regionals were defined, as well as the venues for the qualification stage towards the CONADE 2024 National Games.

Sergio Martínez, director of High Performance, attended this meeting, representing the general director of INDE Tamaulipas, Manuel Raga Navarro, along with directors or representatives of sports from each state.

The state official reported that Tamaulipas was planted in Macro Region A, which also includes: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora and Zacatecas.

The venues for this stage were defined as follows: Baja California will host soccer and softball; Baja California Sur will host beach volleyball; Chihuahua was left with the basketball and tennis venues; Coahuila with table tennis and Durango will host chess.

Nuevo León won the venues for: baseball, boxing, racquetball, judo and weightlifting, as well as triathlon and cycling tentatively, while San Luis Potosí will serve as the venue for karate do; Sonora will have the discipline of handball and Zacatecas will host 3×3 basketball, associated wrestling, taekwondo and indoor volleyball.

Sergio Martínez indicated that the dates will be announced at the next meeting, but they must begin no later than the end of February.

Regarding the CONADE 2024 Nationals, these will begin in the month of May and end in June, according to the calendar of the National Sports Commission itself.

The INDE Tamaulipas will begin the qualifying stage at the state level with the full support of Governor Américo Villarreal in order to form the representatives of Tamaulipas.

The sports that will begin their qualifying rounds are: boxing, karate, tennis, judo and weightlifting.
