PSG develops and makes up part of its gap on the Lyonnaises

The Parisiennes made short work of Reims this Wednesday, in a late match on the 4th day of D1.

PSG beat Reims 4-0 on Wednesday in a late match on the 4th day of the women’s D1, consolidating its second place and making up part of its outlay on the Lyonnaises. The Parisiennes took the upper hand through Dutch international Lieke Martens in the 31st minute. Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored her goal shortly after the restart (48th) before Martens scored twice on the hour mark from a delivery from Katoto (62nd). At the very end of the match, captain Geyoro delivered the final blow to the Champenoises.

In the standings, with 28 points, the PSG women remain 2nd, but are eating up part of their delay on Lyon (36 points with one match more than the Parisiennes), while pushing back their enemy sisters from Paris FC to three lengths. Their evening opponents, now ten points behind PSG, remain at the foot of the Top 4, synonymous with participation in the final phase of the championship. Initially scheduled for October 14, the match was stopped after fireworks were thrown onto the field a few seconds after the break. The score was 0-0. No incident disrupted the reunion between the two clubs on Wednesday.
