Basketball Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg took another look at the transfer market shortly before the start of the second half of the season and signed US center Michael Hughes II. The 25-year-old comes from Lithuanian first division club BC Jonava, for whom he averaged 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in the 2023/24 season, to the sixth-placed team in the BBL.
“We signed Michael because he can and will give us depth in the big position. We are currently playing a lot of games in a very short space of time – and against many good and strong centers,” said coach Josh King about the 2.03 m tall and a new addition weighing 110 kg.
