It was already clear yesterday that José Mourinho’s forced departure from AS Roma has affected him. A video on social media shows how the Portuguese leaves Roma’s training complex visibly emotional, surrounded by fans who came to support him.
Mourinho limited it to some short thank yous, but later said goodbye to the Romans with a post on Instagram.
In the photo montage we see Mourinho with some players, with the fans and with the Conference League trophy, which he also had tattooed on his upper arm.
With a few words he waves goodbye to Rome: “Sweat, blood, tears, happiness, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity,” reads the caption. The accompanying music fragment is appropriately from the film Gladiator.
