The indoor badminton court that opened this time has one basement floor and two above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 4,060 m2, and is equipped with 20 badminton courts, a lounge, and locker rooms.
It was temporarily opened on December 8 last year and operated for free, but will be converted to a paid facility starting this month.
Facility opening hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends and public holidays, and can be used through an on-site ticket machine.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hee said, “Hwaseong City is hosting the National Sports Festival, and the indoor badminton court will likely be one of the pillars of the stadium expansion. “I hope that it will become a place of pride for Hwaseong that people from other regions will visit as we review it as a good place to host the National Sports Festival,” he said.
