Coupe de France: in Racing, football is “a fusional adventure” for the Norbert family

Racing coach in the morning, head of a company in the building with ten employees in the afternoon. At 43, Guillaume Norbert has busy days and evenings. “I still manage to sleep 5-6 hours a night,” smiles the former pro defender (PSG, Arsenal as youth, Lorient, Créteil, Angers, Nantes, Le Havre). Although he had completed his coaching diplomas and had been assistant to Marco Simone in Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2013-2014, he had nevertheless decided to “turn the page on football” six years ago.

“I had my business, custody of my son, we had moved from Honfleur to Lausanne then to Hauts-de-Seine,” he explains. I wanted to give him stability, to have my weekends to stay with him, to take him to football. At that point in my life, I had dropped out of football. »
