French Archers Aim for Gold at European Championships in Essen, Germany

In teams, with France, the Riomois Caroline Lopez and Lisa Barbelin can win gold this Sunday in Essen (Germany), at the European archery championships. Clermontois Thomas Chirault will have the same objective, with the Blues. Second possible medal for Lisa Barbelin, in the running for bronze, individually.

The finals of the European Archery Championships will be played this Sunday in Essen (Germany). Rio’s Caroline Lopez and Lisa Barbelin will play their team final in the morning (10:27 a.m.).

Vice-world team champions last year in Berlin, the French are opposed to the Dutch in the race for the gold medal.

Another team final, another Auvergne also in the race: Clermontois Thomas Chirault will shoot at the end of the morning (11:25 a.m.) against the Italians to win gold alongside Jean-Charles Valladont and Baptiste Addis.

Finally, individually, Lisa Barbelin will try to add a new continental medal to her list of achievements. She will compete in the small final against the Italian Tatiana Andreoli for the bronze in recurve, at the beginning of the afternoon (2:50 p.m.).
