On Sunday February 4, the Badminton Club Vannetais will organize a tournament open to young people with the help of the Badminton club in Brec’h. The children will be distributed between the two sites according to their classification and age category.
A tournament open to all
In Vannes, at 29 avenue Winston Churchill (rooms 1, 2 and 3), around a hundred players will be present, ranging from under 9 years old to 16-17 year olds. “The club hopes to be represented by around fifteen players,” according to Pascal Bolu, president of the Badminton Club Vannetais. They will face players from the 29 other affiliated clubs of Morbihan through single matches. In Vannes, mainly young people classified at promotion and departmental level will compete as well as young people in the mini-bad category (under 9 years old), the tournament will start at 9 a.m.
Volunteers mobilized
Around twenty volunteers will be needed to ensure the smooth running of the tournament, in particular to prepare the rooms on Saturday evening, to provide refreshment, take care of the score and the scorer’s table. Also note that a referee will be present to supervise the competition. With such a well-oiled organization, we can only hope for good results from the young people of Vannes, on your rackets!
