The coaching change has proven to be a bull’s eye at Club Brugge. Nicky Hayen started his assignment with a draw against Cercle and no fewer than six victories followed.
In the Champions’ Play-offs, Club defeated Anderlecht, Antwerp, Union and Genk in succession and in the quarter-finals of the Conference League they were twice too strong for PAOK Saloniki.
Club won four of those six victories in front of its own people. It also managed to keep a clean sheet four times.
