Operation by the Carabinieri of Alassio and Cisano sul Neva
Cisano sul Neva – The Carabinieri of the Alassio Company arrested an Italian and a Moroccan in Cisano sul Neva on charges of possession and dealing of narcotic substances.
The soldiers of the local station became suspicious due to the presence of a car, not belonging to the area, which had often visited the town in the last twenty days, frequently stopping near the homes of three citizens of Moroccan origin, who had been subjected in the weeks preceding an identification stop, revealing that they were illegal on the national territory.
Yesterday, after seeing the car pass by again, the carabinieri, assisted by the soldiers of the Radiomobile Division of the Alassio Company, stopped it and identified the suspicious person as a young 23-year-old from the Imperia area, subjecting the vehicle to a search which led to the discovery of 1 kg of hashish hidden under the seat, divided into blocks of 100 grams each.
This was followed by a search at the Moroccan’s home, who shortly before had been seen first getting into the 23-year-old’s car with a canvas bag, and then returning home without it. In fact, the search was successful: 2,000 euros in cash, a cell phone and a baseball bat were found and seized as proceeds of the illicit activity.
Today the very direct ritual took place at the Court of Savona, for which the arrests were validated and both sentenced, following a plea agreement, to 16 months with a suspended sentence, plus a fine of 8,000 euros.
