LE SCAN SPORT – The former number 10 of the Blues appears in 16th place in the ranking of the French people’s favorite personalities, among which there are six athletes.
The JDD published this Sunday its traditional Top 50 personalities favorites of the French dominated by the indestructible Jean-Jacques Goldman ahead of Florent Pagny and Thomas Pesquet. In this ranking, six athletes manage to slip in, only men and four of them are footballers.
Fall for the Blues of football
Zinédine Zidane, who has not made much of the news since he does not currently hold a coaching position, opens the way to 16th position, losing a small place compared to 2022. Judoka Teddy Riner comes just behind by winning seven places. Promising before the big Olympic meeting in Paris 2024.
It’s a fall, however, for Kylian Mbappé who goes from 4th place to 22nd. Fall also for Antoine Griezmann who fell 15 ranks (26th) but the two stars of the France team were not able to take advantage, like last year, of the exhibition of the Football World Cup and the course bruises. This downgrade is therefore quite logical.
Antoine Dupont makes his entrance
Antoine Dupont, the playing master of the French XV, did not benefit too much from the Rugby World Cup effect, in 38th position. The Toulouse player, injured for a long time during the competition which he finished in the quarter-finals after a cruel defeat against South Africa, the future winner, nevertheless made his entry into this Top 50 which Olivier Giroud continues to support. Like Mbappé and Griezmann, the veteran of the Blues falls, 9 places, to 48th place.
