VIDEO ⟩ Bertans forges a victory for “Thunder” in his most productive game of the season

“Thunder” beat Dallas “Mavericks”, previously represented by Latvians, with a score of 126:120 (33:27, 39:29, 35:28, 19:36).

Bertans, playing in the second and third quarter, spent 11 minutes and ten seconds on the court, made all three long shots and all six free throws, won one rebound, gave one assist, intercepted one ball and violated the rules three times. “Thunder” scored 16 more points than they allowed with Bertans on the field, which was the best score in the team.

“Thunder” won, despite the fact that in the fourth quarter the Dallasites made the biggest breakthrough in NBA history and scored 30 points in a row. Oklahoma City, however, clawed their way back into the lead and scored the game’s final eight points.

The previous record was held by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who went 29-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks on December 6, 2009.

Eight “Thunder” basketball players scored ten or more points, Jaylen Williams was the top scorer with 23, Shay Gilges-Alexander had 17 points, nine assists and five steals, and Chet Holmgren had 11 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Lukas Doncic’s “triple-double” did not save “Mavericks” from the loss, as the Slovenian scored 36 points, 18 assists and 15 rebounds in the 46 minutes spent on the field. Derek Lively had 20 points, 16 rebounds and seven blocks, while Derrick Jones had 24 points.

“Thunder” is second in the Western Conference with 13 wins in 19 games, where “Mavericks” is sixth with 11 wins in 19 games.

The Oklahoma City basketball players will play their next game on Wednesday when they visit the Houston Rockets.
