Unwanted Player Alexis Flips Could Soon Leave Anderlecht: Negotiations Underway with Mallorca

Anderlecht could, very soon, get rid of one of its unwanted players. A case to follow closely.

According to information from Juanmi Sanchez, the management of Mallorca and that of Sporting Anderlecht have started negotiations regarding Alexis Flips. The Liga resident wishes to strengthen his left lane and would therefore be thinking of the winger under contract with the Brussels club until June 2028. Last summer, the Anderlecht residents had, for their part, spent no less than three million and a half euros to secure the services of the native of Lille. A few months after his arrival in the Belgian capital, his statistics are, however, not really celebrating. In thirteen appearances, the former Stade de Reims player has not scored, nor even provided the slightest assist. No longer really part of Brian Riemer’s plans, it is therefore not impossible to see him already packing his bags. It now remains to be seen whether number 35 will be open to the idea of renting it or whether he will ultimately prefer to sell it directly.

During the Mauves’ last two league meetings, Alexis Flips did not appear on the scoresheet. Even worse, he only played five minutes in the entire month of December. A situation that can no longer continue for the six-foot-three right-hander.

With or without Alexis Flips?

On January 17, Brian Riemer and his players will travel to the Union Saint-Gilloise field, in the match counting for the quarter-finals of the Belgian Cup.
