The AEMET alert about a change in time for New Year’s Eve

We have had a Christmas Eve calm and we will have a Christmas with a stable climate and slightly cloudy skies, although fog may still occur in some areas of our country, but without precipitation. However, this idyllic weather forecast could change for next Wednesday the 27th, as pointed out by the AEMET.

The Meteorology Statal Agency expects the forecast to change starting next Wednesday the 27thconsidering the arrival of an Atlantic front through Galicia during the last hours of the aforementioned day likely, crossing the Peninsula from northwest to southeast during Thursday.

This phenomenon will cause cloudy skies as it progresses, leaving more intense precipitation in the extreme northwest area, which will be unlikely in the other extreme southeast. Minimum temperatures will increase, with less intense but more localized frosts at points.

The agency expects that the arrival of new fronts from Friday the 29th to domingo 31, end of the year, cause abundant cloudiness in the northwest half and precipitation in Galicia, western Cantabrian area and west of the Central systemalthough they are not notable in the rest of the northwest half.
