A success of capital importance. By beating Cortina 5-0 in the late afternoon match on Saturday 23 December, Renon obtained the points necessary to qualify for the 2023-2024 playoffs of the Alps Hockey League.
In a one-sided match, Kostner – scorer of one goal – and his teammates made the difference in two moments. At the beginning, taking the lead with the goal of Coatta, and then in the third and final period filling the scoreboard with the brands of Insam, Amorosa and Spinell, for the final 5-0.
With 59 points in the standings therefore, the South Tyroleans come to have a 17 point advantage over the current seventh place, the Slovenians of Jesenice, and, with five days to go before the end of the regular season, I can no longer be ousted from the Top 6.
The Alps Hockey League will stop for Christmas Eve and Christmas, December 24th and 25th, returning to the field for Boxing Day, the 26th.
