New Features and Growth Await Players at Laurier de Victoriaville Baseball Organization’s Annual Meeting

The Laurier de Victoriaville baseball organization held its annual general meeting and several new features await players next season.

On the one hand, the Laurier teams will sport a new logo and new uniforms in 2024. The new colors will be presented later. Following a survey, it was also agreed to invest in new equipment and place emphasis on coaching training.

A new person will also be appointed to the presidency of the board of directors following the departure of Réjean Cajolet. Jean-Hugues Luneau and Nathalie Verville also left the board. The latter welcomed four newcomers, Marianne Dubuc, Dominic Fortin, Anthony Leduc and Ariane Labrecque.

The organization has the wind in its sails. In particular, it recorded 243 registrations in 2023, an increase of 17% compared to the previous year. Women’s baseball, among others, is growing strongly. The latter is expected to increase in 2024.

As for elite baseball (AA), the partnership with the Drummondville organization will continue. Joint training camps will be held to train the clubs that will represent Centre-du-Québec during the summer.

And so that all the young boys and girls in the region can practice their discipline, the Laurier organization is seeking the support of volunteers and is looking for scorers, as well as referees for the next campaign.
