MESSINA – The two new multifunctional sports fields and the 4.0 food and wine laboratory of the “Antonello” Institute of Higher Education were inaugurated this morning. School representatives, the mayor Federico Basile, civil and religious authorities took part in the event.
Explaining what these new features represent for students is the manager Laura Tringali. “Finally the children will have the opportunity to stay in school as much as possible, even for recreational activities”.
“A significant school in the city context both in terms of training and for its active presence alongside the institutions – said Basile – demonstrated through the active and synergistic participation of students, as a constant point of reference in the preparation of initiatives and events organized in the City. A commitment carried forward by looking at history to live the present and look towards a future that has managed over the years to outline a true school of excellence”. On the occasion of the event, the exhibition “Re-elaborations from painting and photography” was also inaugurated, curated by the Graphics and Communication and Tourism addresses.
Mayor Basile, at the ribbon cutting of the two fields, hit a field goal and a penalty kick. The two structures, a badminton court and a tartan track for athletics consisting of three lanes where it is possible to practice five-a-side football, volleyball, basketball, handball and badminton, as well as being able to carry out pre-athletics speed activities – speed, jumping activities, leaps, slalom, obstacles, relays, prison ball, football-tennis, tambourine ball, baseball, rugby, tennis, recreational and motor activities and free body. An important endowment for Antonello which from next school year will also have the sports science high school among its courses. The representative Sergio Naccari talks about this new path on video.
The 4.0 Food and Wine laboratory, wanted and designed by professor Nino Iannazzo, represents a special sustainable, innovative and cutting-edge classroom for a circular approach, digital transformation, resolution of the CO2 footprint. The new laboratory is characterized as a center for the production of pastry, ice cream, chocolate, white art and pizzeria products.
