On Boxing Day bad episode in Bournemouth-Fulham. The London goalkeeper, 2-0 down, takes it out on the boy on the sideline and pushes him. Then he realizes the mistake and apologizes

Bernd Leno ended up in the storm. Tuesday 26 December was not a quiet afternoon for the Fulham goalkeeper. In fact, he was targeted on social media for what he did against a ball boy. A very serious reaction during the Premier League match, valid for Boxing Day, lost 3-0 against Bournemouth.

The boy on the sidelines found himself, through no fault of his own, a rather angry and saddened Leno with the result of the match. Fulham were already 2-0 down when the two met on the touchline and what should never have happened happened. The ball boy picked up the ball to return it to the goalkeeper, but his reaction was incredible and unexpected. Leno pushed the boy away, taking the ball from his hands before pushing him away with a gesture of great anger.

The Bournemouth bench immediately stood up to protest against their opponent, guilty of having badly treated a young fan who was only there to help the players. Not only. The crowd reacted vehemently against the German goalkeeper who at that point – having noticed the mistake – went back and hugged the ball boy. Yes, I’m fine, the child then replied and immediately put the matter behind him.
