The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has suspended Swedish U20 forward Elias Salomonsson for one game.

Yesterday, in the world championship game against Latvia, the Swede pushed Emīla Veckaktins into the corner in the 26th second of the match. After watching the video, the judges decided to give the hockey player a 5+20 penalty. Fortunately, Veckaktiņš was able to return to the game, but Latvia did not realize the majority of the five minutes, losing the entire match with 0:6.

Therefore, the Swedish hockey player will miss tomorrow’s match against Germany.
