Anaheim’s Radko Gudas Leads Team to 4-3 Victory Over Red Wings; Dostál’s Stellar Performance

Anaheim played the match well thanks to Radko Gudas. He led 4-0. However, the Red Wings reduced the score to 3:4, but could not do more. Dostál took his success rate above 90 percent and with six wins he is the third most successful Czech goalkeeper in the season after Vítek Vaněček and Petr Mrázek.

In the end, the twenty-three-year-old goalkeeper found himself close to making history. He was only inches away from being among the top scorers. In the 59th minute, he caught the puck thrown by the catcher and sent it across the rink, but in the end it just licked the goal structure.

“I think it was a good shot. I don’t know if the coaches will praise me for trying it at 4:3,” he said after the match, reminding that it wouldn’t be the first hit for him personally. “I had already scored once in the AHL, so I believed I could do it again,” added the goaltender, who made his mark at the San Diego farm last year.
