[성남신문=성남신문] On the 9th, the 『2023 Gimcheon Mayor’s Cup Volleyball Competition』 was successfully held at the Sports Town Badminton Stadium with about 200 volleyball enthusiasts participating.
This competition was hosted and organized by the Gimcheon City Sports Council and the Gimcheon City Volleyball Federation, and sponsored by Gimcheon City. 12 volleyball clubs in the area participated and were divided into men’s and women’s divisions. It went ahead.
The competition was held on this day without a separate opening ceremony, and there was an encouraging visit from Gimcheon City Sports Council President Choi Han-dong and other sports association executives to encourage the competition officials and players.
Lee Sang-jin, head of the Sports Industry Department, said, “As it is a city that has a Korea Expressway Corporation women’s professional volleyball team, it seems that the club members are full of passion and love for volleyball.” He added, “We will continue to do our best for the development of daily sports.”
Meanwhile, in the men’s competition, the Blue Club took 1st place, the Black Club took 2nd place, and Acan Fly Club and Flower Power Club took 3rd place.
In the women’s division, Apoqueen Club took first place, Victoria Club took second place, and Ballyqueen Club and YG Club took third place.
Blue Club’s Kwak Sang-hyun was selected as the best player of the tournament in the men’s division, and Apoqueen’s Han Kim-rong was selected as the best player in the women’s division.
On the 23rd of this month, the student division competition will be held at the Seongui Girls’ High School gymnasium.
