Dominic Stricker will compete at the NextGen Finals.

At the sixth edition of the year-end tournament for the best U21 young professionals, Arthur Fils from France will lead the field of participants. The 19-year-old celebrated his title debut on the ATP Tour in Lyon and reached another final in the 250 category in Antwerp. Fils ends the year in the ATP rankings at number 36. His compatriot Luca Van Assche will start in second place, who, according to the current status in the world rankings, will start the coming year at number 66.

In third place is the Swiss Dominic Stricker, who was able to defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas as a qualifier at the US Open this year and then advanced to the round of 16. At the home tournament in Basel, the 92nd in the ranking achieved his second win against a player from the top 10 against Casper Ruud. The 21-year-old also won two Challenger trophies this season and won the doubles final at the ATP 250 event in Gstaad together with Stan Wawrinka.

NextGen Finals for the first time in Saudi Arabia

The field is completed by the American Alex Michelsen, who reached his first final on the ATP Tour in Newport in July and won two Challenger titles this year. Also taking part are Flavio Cobolli (Italy), Hamad Medjedovic (Serbia), Luca Nardi (Italy) and Abedallah Shelbayh (Jordan). Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, Ben Shelton and Lorenzo Musetti, who actually qualified, decided not to take part.

As with the ATP Finals, the game will initially be played in group format. However, the sentences are played shortened. There are also no points for the ranking. After the first five events in Milan, the tournament is taking place in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The list of winners consisting of Hyeon Chung, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Brandon Nakashima looks very promising for the future of their careers.
