Tennis Star Fernanda Contreras Makes Literary Debut with New Fiction Book ‘Rise of the Darkness’

The Mexican tennis player Fernanda Contreras was part of the tricolor team that beat Austria 3-2 in the play-offs of the Billie Jean King Cup and thus guaranteed their presence in the 2024 qualifiers.

The woman from Potosí has ​​shared her fanaticism for literature, as well as visiting different museums around the world. This passion led her to write her first fiction book and she announced it on her Instagram.

“Super excited to announce my first fiction book ‘Rise of the Darkness’ will be out soon,” she wrote on the social network.

Contreras’ book “is part of a world where magic and reality merge.”

According to what it describes on its website, the story takes place in central London and develops the story of Leo Clarkson who, together with Athena, teams up in the search for a curator at the British Museum.

Fernanda announced that her book is already on pre-sale and the Spanish version “will be available at the end of 2023/beginning of 2024.”

Fernanda Contreras in 2022 made history by qualifying for the main draw of three Grand Slams: Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.
