Radko Gudas Scores Unusual Goal in Anaheim’s Victory Over San Jose

Czech defender Radko Gudas scored his second goal this season. And again it was with the help of a flowing defending player. But this time very hearty. The native of Kladno closed the final 4:1 for Anaheim in the game against San Jose.

Radko Gudas is not one of the most productive players. He scored only 35 goals in 696 NHL games, his role on the ice is different. But his goal against San Jose caught the attention of the entire hockey world and is spreading very quickly on social networks. He was greatly helped by the run of defender Mike Hoffman.

It happened at the beginning of the third period with a score of 3:1 for Anaheim. The home team besieged the offensive zone and Gudas decided to shoot from the blue line. He reached up, but San Jose’s Mike Hoffman put the stick in his shot. That didn’t turn out to be a good idea a few seconds later.

The puck bounced off his stick into the air and fell from a great height into the goal behind a very surprised goalkeeper Blackwood. On his way, the defender Vlasic tried to stop him while jumping with his glove, but he couldn’t reach him.

This goal seemed to characterize what has been a very poor start to the season for the San Jose Sharks so far. The Sharks have already lost their thirteenth match of the season out of fifteen possible and are in last place in the entire competition. Anaheim is in sixth place in the Western Conference.
