The Quindío men’s handball team was runner-up in the discipline in the 2023 Coffee Axis National Games.
In an emotional game at the coliseum in southern Armenia, the Quindian septet fell 29 – 23 against the always favorite Antioquia, on the night of this Tuesday, November 21.
Despite the defeat, the coffee team received all the recognition from the public that filled the stands of the stage to vibrate with 2 extremely competitive teams that left everything on the field.
With this silver medal Quindío added his 20th medal, distributed in 4 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze in disciplines such as hapkido, badminton, track cycling and triathlon.
Precisely, handball contributed 2 silver medals, one for men and one for women, this being a result that motivates us to continue consolidating the processes of this sport in the region.
