After “Dave the Diver”, MINTROCKET is ready to offer a completely different game: here is the gameplay trailer for “Nakwon: Last Paradise”!
Developer MINTROCKET burst onto the gaming scene this year with Dave the Diver. The game quickly became one of the most popular low-budget games of the year, propelling MINTROCKET towards long-term success.
Now, the team is ready to prove that it can do much more, and it will do so by releasing something incredibly different from its first title. Nakwon: Last Paradise is the studio’s next project, and mixes the “extraction survival” element and classic (but still current) zombies.

The newly released 22-minute gameplay trailer offers an in-depth look at what to expect Nakwon: Last Paradise. MINTROCKET’s second game features PvPvE gameplay reminiscent of other mining shooters.
In the trailer we see the player character facing zombies using all kinds of weapons. At first it seems like he’s using a baseball bat covered in nails, but he then upgrades his gear by finding new pieces of loot scattered throughout the game.

From the video you can also see that the game uses a sound system to warn the zombies of where the character is. Depending on the speed with which you move in the city, you will make more or less noise, thus attracting the undead. There don’t seem to be huge hordes of zombies, but sometimes the character is chased by decent-sized groups.
It’s worth noting that the footage comes from a pre-alpha version of the game, and that MINTROCKET will likely implement several improvements as we get closer to the game’s release. About this, Nakwon: Last Paradise will receive a pre-alpha test from November 29th to December 4th. Currently, MINTROCKET has not yet provided details on how to participate in the testing period.

One detail that wasn’t addressed much in the gameplay trailer is Citizen Rank. MINTROCKET states that this feature will “determine privileges and access levels” in Nakwon: Last Paradise. It seems like this is one of the main ways to earn money, which can be used to pay rent and buy better equipment. As your Citizen Rank increases, you will gain access to better items.

It is clear that this is a big departure from Dave the Diver. It will be a lot of fun to see how MINTROCKET handles the change and if the public of DtD he will follow her.
