Unsuccessful home debut for the Bolzano Baseball Club Bolzano in the Serie B championship. Fresh from the double defeat suffered on their debut at the home of the Gorizia Duck Staranzano, in the second round of group B the young red and white team plays the first double home match of the 2024 season against the Veronese Crazy Sambonifacese on the diamond of the «Tiziano Lazzarini» in via Cadorna losing both matches «by manifesto» in the seventh inning, 10-0 and 12-1 respectively, at the end of two matches with different dynamics.
Manager Rodriguez’s team, filled with young prospects alongside some exponents of the old red and white guard, gave up in the first match after a balanced start.
The score was stalemate for four innings, then the guests capitalized on their consistency in batting (14 hits, 4 baseballs) and brought home six points in the fifth and another four in the sixth inning, securing the result.

Group B is completed by the Bolognese Longbridge 2000 of coach Espinosa, a sort of franchise of the famous Fortitudo Bologna, by the White Sox Buttrio and by the Dynos Verona.
The national Serie B championship is structured this year into 4 Regular Season groups (3 of which with 8 teams and 1 with 6 teams), which allow the passage to the Play Offs to decree the category jump to the top two of each group , while the four at the bottom will participate in the Play Outs, from which the two teams relegated to Serie C will emerge.
