“Manchester United” played 3:3 (1:2) with “Galatasaray” of Istanbul.

The visitors scored two goals in eight minutes, with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes in the 18th minute making it 2-0.

Hakim Ziyesh scored one goal in the 29th minute, but in the 55th minute Scott McTominay restored the two-goal advantage – 3:1.

The hosts scored a point with the second goal of the game by Ziješ in the 62nd minute and Kerem Akturkoglu’s goal after an assist from Ziješ in the 71st minute.

“United” players did not keep a two-goal advantage for the second game in a row (the previous game was lost 3:4 against “Kobenhavn”).

On Wednesday, the result of the match between “Bayern” and “Kobenhavn” in this group was not revealed.

In Group A, “Bayern” has won 13 points, “Galatasaray” and “Kobenhavn” have scored five points each, while “United” has four points.

“Arsenal” destroys and wins the group

The Spanish club took a 2-0 lead with Sergio Ramos’ goal in the 24th minute and Yusef en Nesiri’s “goal” in the 47th minute. The course of the game was changed by two yellow cards received by Lucas Ocampos within four minutes, leaving the team in the minority in the 66th minute.

In the 68th minute, Ismael Saibari scored a goal, in the 81st minute, Nemanja Gudelj sent the ball into his own goal, and in the second minute of the compensation time of the match, Ricardo Pepi scored the winning goal.

In the second group match on Wednesday, London “Arsenal” defeated French “Lens” 6:0 (5:0).

After five rounds of matches, “Arsenal” has 12 points, PSV – eight points, “Lens” – five points, but “Sevilla” has collected two points and in the last match they can only fight for a place in the UEFA Europa League knockout tournament.

“Real” continues to dominate

On the other hand, the players of “Real Madrid” beat “Napoli” at home in the UEFA Champions League group C game, securing the first place in the group, while a draw was recorded in the second game in Braga.

“Real” defeated “Napoli” with 4:2 (2:1).

Giovanni Simeone put the Italian club in the lead in the ninth minute, to which the home team responded with goals scored by Rodrigo and Jude Bellingham within 12 minutes.

In the 47th minute, the Napoli footballers achieved a draw with a strike by Frank Angisas, but the home team secured the first place in the group with the goals scored by Niko Pasa in the 84th minute and Joselu’s goal in the fourth minute of the match’s compensation time.

“Braga” played 1:1 (0:1) with Berlin “Union” at home.

In the 30th minute, central defender Siku Niakate left the hosts in the minority, and in the 42nd minute, the club from the German capital took the lead, taking the lead after a precise kick by Robin Gozens.

However, the hosts were able to fight back, with Alvaro Gialo equalizing in the 51st minute.

In Group C, “Real” has accumulated 15 points in five matches, “Napoli” is second with seven points, “Braga” has won four points, and “Union” has two points.

Group D draws

Meanwhile, San Sebastián “Real Sociedad” players, who have already secured a place in the playoffs, played a draw at home and away from Milan “Inter” in UEFA Champions League group D matches on Wednesday.

“Real Sociedad” played 0-0 at home with “Salzburg” of Austria.

In the second group match, “Inter” of Milan played 3:3 (0:3) with “Benfica” of Lisbon.

In the first half, the home team Juan Mariu scored a hat-trick within half an hour, but in the second half, Marko Arnautovic, Davide Fratezi and Alexis Sanchez tied the game in 22 minutes with a penalty kick.

In group D, after five games, Real Sociedad and Inter have 11 points, Salzburg has four points, and Benfica scored the first point on Wednesday.

32 teams play in the main tournament of the Champions League. The two best teams of each subgroup will enter the round of 16, while the third-placed team will continue their season in the UEFA Europa League elimination tournament. The Champions League final will be held on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.

Manchester City won the Champions League last season, beating Italian club Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul, winning the competition for the first time.
