Judo Bassin Aveyron Holds Successful General Assembly with Major Achievements

The big Judo Bassin Aveyron family met for its general assembly, in the presence of elected official Virginie Cartron. As a reminder, the association was created on April 2, 2017 with the aim of practicing judo, it is affiliated with the French Federation of judo, jujitsu, kendo and associated disciplines. The Boisse-Penchot town hall granted the club the La Grange room to use as a dojo and classes began in September 2017, it is also the head office of the JBA.

For its sixth year of activity, the club has 88 members from different municipalities in the region, 16 more than the previous year. “We are therefore recording an increase in numbers of 22% over the 2022-2023 season. Babies, mini-chicks and junior-seniors are the most numerous,” welcomes President Luis Rainho.

The club recorded excellent sporting results throughout the season, at the departmental, regional and even national level, in the various categories, girls and boys alike.

A great satisfaction for coach Rémi Géraud whose work was unanimously recognized by the leaders, with several new black belts who are the pride of Judo Bassin Aveyron.

Throughout the season, the club organized several joint events: February 3, 2023, mass training for all judokas in the presence of parents, friends and elected officials. June 9: mass training to close the season with the presentation of belts and rewards for all the judokas followed by an aperitif dinner. Outings on February 27, 28 and March 1 for juniors and juniors (15 participants) and March 3, 4 and 5 for juniors, cadets, juniors and seniors (21 participants). Cohesion course in Brameloup where the judokas were able to indulge in the joys of skiing: alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and other snowball games. The evenings were also very lively.

Unfortunately, the planned end-of-year outing to the Trampoline Park for the little ones could not take place due to bad timing. While the physical preparation course, planned at Camping Beau Rivage in Livinhac-le-Haut, was canceled at the last moment due to bad weather.

The leaders of the JBA thank the town hall of Boisse-Penchot, the volunteers and the parents who give a good helping hand and of course Rémi Géraud for his great involvement at the sporting level and in the life of the club.
