Golf, Nikhil Rama takes command of the Joburg Open. Manassero and Laporta make the cut

The golfers of DP World Tour continue to battle in one of the two weekly events that coincide with the official start of the 2024 season. We have reached the end of the second round of the Joburg Open (prize money R20.5 million), event born in 2007 and organized in collaboration between the European Tour, Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour,

After the first 36 holes, the hosts dictate the rules. In first position we find Nikhil Ramawho leads the leaderboard with a score of -13 (127 hits). To find the first Italian, unfortunately, you still have to scroll through the rankings. In 44th place with a score of -1 we find Francesco Laporta, who quickly overcomes the cut thanks to a good lap of -2. Instead he continues the path at par with par for Matteo Manassero. The Veronese scored 70 for the second time in a row and opened his new return to the top circuit by passing Friday’s cutoff in 59th place. Finally, nothing to do Andrea Pavan e Renato Paratore (73rd with +1), e Lorenzo Scalise (98° con +3).
